WebDex Scans is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate and skilled individuals to join our team! Our mission is to deliver high-quality translations of manhua (Chinese comics) into English. To achieve this, we need dedicated professionals and enthusiastic newcomers who share our commitment to excellence and aim to make reading enjoyable for everyone. 📚✨

We are primarily focused on translating and editing Chinese comics. Now, we’re broadening our horizons by taking on projects from around the world 🌏. We’re looking for individuals who not only contribute as staff but also as friends and colleagues—people who take pride in their craft and want to be part of our scanlation group’s growth journey. 🚀

What We’re Looking For:

We need experienced and dedicated team members who can contribute right away. Applicants must complete a skills assessment test as part of the hiring process. While previous work samples may be accepted for some positions, a test may still be required if necessary. 📝

If you’re passionate about translating comics, eager to make new friends, and want to help grow our community, we welcome you! You don’t need to be perfect—just enthusiastic and willing to do your best. 😊

Collaboration Opportunities (For Solo Scanlators):

We also welcome solo scanlators—translators who run their own scanlation groups and work independently. We’re open to partnering with you on projects, ensuring both teams receive full credit for their efforts. 🤝 We will also try our best to share revenues for their work 💵

Available Positions:

Translators (High Demand for Chinese, Lower Demand for Japanese Translators) 🈶

• Most know Mandarin and English very well. ✔️
• MTL Applicants are welcome but must have experience. Both MTL and fluent translators must pass a test. ✔️
• Paid Position 💸

Editor (Cleaners & Typesetters) [High Demand] 🖌️

• Must be skilled in cleaning raw images and redrawing without compromising panel quality. Proficiency in Photoshop is required. 🎨
• Experience in creating banners, setting fonts properly, and handling typesetting is a must. 🖋️
• Paid Position for experienced editors. 💰

Proofreader (PR) [Low Demand] 🔍

• Must have an eye for detail, catching typos, grammar errors, and formatting issues. 🧐
• Ensures text is clear, consistent, and follows style guidelines. 📖
• Experience with tools like Word or Grammarly is a plus. 🛠️
• Non-paid position at the moment. 🚫
